My Weekend Plans

with 2 comments

I don’t have a clue who these people are.

I will after this weekend. Because I’ve decided with the depressing state of games this weekend (my Michigan fandom will not let me pay attention to OSU-USC. At least not close attention) that this was the perfect time to get on the Gossip Girl bandwagon. So I’m taking a crash course in all things Upper East Side.

I hope this is worth it.

From Me To Me

with 6 comments

Today is my 23rd birthday. Woo hoo? I have no idea how I feel about today to be honest. I guess I’m happy that I got to see my 23rd year on this Earth (as my mother says) but my birthday is just another day to me. I mean, it gives me an excuse to eat nothing but cake or something, but other than that, it’s just another day.

With that said, it does kinda suck that I don’t think this day is kinda sorta special. So I decided to take this day to give myself a gift. An electronic internet gift. I don’t have enough creativity to ask for something like mustaches or diaster stories. But I do have something that will make me (and you) smile-a collection of men. That are famous. And who I happen to love. Yay 23rd birthday!

Mmmm…Wentworth Miller

I love black and white shots. And the preppy look. So yeah.

If you don’t like Hugh Laurie…well, we can’t be friends.

And to finish out with the cast of House…

Omar Epps

Robert Sean Leonard and Jesse Spencer

Okay, I know two women are in this picture. But I love Thomas Dekker as John Conner and Summer Glau (far right). And that’s a totally cute, if out of season dress. So I can deal with Lena Headey in the pic.

I love Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley is cool too). I want to have a mini army of Dr. Coxes.

Stephen Colbert…without him I’m lost. At least when politics is concerned.

Yes, the last two went into characters, but it’s my birthday. My favorite sports men are after the jump because this post would get to be too big if not. So happy birthday to me! :) Read the rest of this entry »

Banning Books?

with 5 comments

Hey Sarah Palin-screw you.

Stein says that as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. “She asked the library how she could go about banning books,” he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. “The librarian was aghast.” That woman, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn’t be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving “full support” to the mayor.

Is this what Republicans mean when they say she has “executive experience?” She uses her power to try to push people around to meet her whim?

I usually apathetic about McCain (mostly because I don’t particularly care for politics) but this woman cannot be elected into any time of high office. She’s deluded.

Why?

with one comment

I have been listening (and dancing) to this the last three days. I can’t stop. Something is wrong with me.

I could be one of those zombies easily right now.

Yep.

Blog Action Day

with 2 comments

Five Reasons why you should sign up for Blog Action Day:

1. You’ll be doing something selfless.

2. It’s one day out of the year.

3. Like most major issues, the topic of this year (poverty) has probably impacted you or someone you know.

4. Blogs big and small and in all different languages are going to be participating. As of this post 1,907 sites had signed up.

5. You’ll help bring attention, no matter how small, on an issue that (still, sadly) impacts the world.

Great post over at Zen Habits with one of the founders of Blog Action Day. Do your part. Cause seriously, one post out of a year isn’t a lot of trouble. And you know it.

Stupid New Theme

with 3 comments

My latest hiatus isn’t me. Honest. I’ve actually had two new post ideas the past two days but both had to be dropped when I realize this theme and pictures do not mix. At all. So…yeah. Maybe I’ll change the theme back to the one with the read header (which I really liked) so I can use pictures the way I want or maybe I’ll just forget on the pictures. Who knows right now. This is what I do know-this theme was kicking ass until the last two days.

Stupid stupid three column theme.

Update: I’m not talking about any new theme I may put up here this weekend. I’m talking about a previous theme that you can see here.
