The Monotonous Life

Yes, I’m that boring.

The Exclusive Interview You’ll Only Get Here!

with 9 comments

So I’m being interviewed. By ATW. And I practically begged for it. But only because I have a blog which I have no idea on what to write about. One of these days I’ll figure it out. One of these days.

Until that times comes here are the interview rules if you would like to continue this on:

1. leave me a comment saying you want to be interviewed.
2. I’ll email you five questions, of my determination not yours!
3. You update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

And here we go…

1. Can we switch places so I can live in SC and you can take the frigid temps of MI?  What is it that you like so much about the cold?

We can totally switch! I would love to live in Michigan, especially now that y’all are getting some major snow fall there. Completely and totally jealous. I guess the simple answer to why I like the cold so much is because we get so little of it here in South Carolina, and the South in general. And I’m including this past week of cold weather (finally). Take this past fall and winter so far. In November during the week of the election it was in the 50s. In December it went back up to the upper 60s and 70s. It stayed there until this week. I guess I believe in the commercialism of winter, of the snow and the coats and the hot chocolate and all that. And I’ve never really had that. I want what I can’t have.

Besides, the warm Southern winters get old sometimes.

2. What got you interested in Michigan sports?

To be honest I don’t actually know. But, I’m pretty sure it had to do with question and answer of #1. I probably saw Michigan playing in the snow and started rooting for them at that point. I just remember being a fan. Like, I remember the day my mother and I was in Toys-R-Us and I begged her to buy me one yellow pom pom and one blue pom pom and when she finally did (as a birthday gift) waving those pom poms around like crazy and pretending to be a cheerleader. I remember yelling out “Go Blue!” during games that didn’t involve Michigan in the least, like when I did that during a South Carolina-Clemson game. But to as how the fandom started? Couldn’t tell you. Although my dad hates Michigan and that’s an added bonus.

3. How would you describe your personal style?

Lazy casual? Lazy comfortable? I don’t think I have a style yet. I know what types of style that I like. I know what I would like to imitate. But as to what I do or have? Pretty much nada. I’m the complete and total jeans and t-shirt girl. It takes some effort to find an outfit that suitable for more than just hanging out around the house. I know, I suck.

4. Marry Boff Kill – Curtis Granderson, Rafa Nadal, Rodrigo Santoro?

You are so so mean for this question. Why can’t I have all three? They’re all so unique and great and OMG HOTT in their own special way.

Actually, the marry one is easy-Curtis Granderson. Cause I’m convinced that he would fall heads over heels in love with me and we’ll get married and have the most adorable children EVER if I could just get the chance to meet him.

No, I’m not crazy.

The Boff/Kill one is harder. But after much deep thought and soul searching I’m going with Rafa Nadal with boff and will sadly send my absolutely perfect Brazilian to the gas chamber. Why Rafa? Because of this. And my fantasy of doing him on a clay court. But mostly the picture.

5. What’s been the best day of your life so far?

Now this one is a big question mark for me. I don’t think I’ve had it yet. I’ve had a bunch of okay days and a few good days, but best day? Hmm…

As of right now I’m going to go with the day Duke won their last championship, back in 2001. Now, the championship was just the cherry on top of that day. Because on that day I found out that my tormentor from middle school had failed 8th grade twice and was still there*. Do you know how awesome that feeling is? It is one of the most awesomest feelings ever. I had also been accepted into a Journalism and Honors English class that day. So it was a good one. I really don’t want to think that the best day of my life so far has been a Monday at the beginning of April my sophomore year in high school. But so is my life so far.

I hope that I can answer this one day and say when [insert guy here] asked for my hand in marriage or told me he loved me. Or when I got my dream job and/or moved and started my life in [insert major Northern city here]. Or I won $10 million and never had to work another day. Until then, my life will remain pretty damn sad.

*Cause seriously, I still hate that guy and wish piranhas would bite at his balls. It’s the very least he deserves for the three years of hell he put me through. No, I’m not still bitter at something that happened in middle school. Why you ask?

  1. Everytime I stop in here I learn something new about you. I’d love to take an interview since I’ve got 2 weeks left in my NaBloPoMo and I’m running out of things to say.

  6. It’s funny, I just saw this on someone else’s blog. But your answers are very interesting and you do learn something new about you upon every post. I do think it’s interesting how we can get interested in some sports teams totally by chance, and there’s definitely nothing wrong with the Maize and Blue.

And, if you so desire, I’d love to have you interview me as well, it’d be a good ol’ time.

  7. And there’s nothing wrong with being bitter about stuff from middle school- there’s plenty of things I’m still bitter about from then as well. Then again, there’s stuff I’m bitter about from pretty much from as far back as I can remember until now.

  8. Middle and freshmen year of hs was the worst time of my school life. I’m still bitter about a LOT of stuff that happened then. But it’s comforting to know that I’m not the only one that has hold on to this stuff.

    Questions are coming. :)

  9. I’m such a horrible blog friend/interviewer…. but LOVE your answers to stuff I was genuinely interested in. And when I abandon Michigan (the state) you are more than welcome to take my place.
